we're finally getting the internet!

sorry we haven't posted in a very very long time. like i said earlier, we don't have the internet. we've been readjusting our budget and we finally figured out a way to afford comcast. supposedly it takes about a week to get a technician to come out and set it up so i can't wait until then. i have tons of pictures and blogs to post. brighton's and landon's birthdays were a blast and brighton is getting SO BIG! so plan on a few big posts in about a week.

hello all...long time no post! we're almost done moving everything....this is our first real move in our almost three years of marriage and let me tell you, we've learned the hard way that crap is never-ending. seriously, i'm getting very sick of moving everything and unpacking. i'm thinking about dropping off a few of the boxes at the dump...why do we keep somethings,seriously?
we had a wonderful 24th of july. it was my family's reunion. the 24th we had a bbq and the 25th we went to lagoon. it was a blast!
i wish i could post some pictures of our fun weekend and our new condo. Bad news, we don't have any internet. that is why i haven't written a post in so long or uploaded some photos. i'm using my mom's internet. hopefully soon we'll figure out how to afford the internet or i'll get some time and go over to my mom's to post some pics. this weekend is brighton's BIG #1!!! and Landon's big #25. When Brighton was born it was so cute that her birthday was only two days after daddy's, now i'm not so excited about it....yikes all the planning and presents. we're so broke! i'll figure something out for both of them though. I will hopefully be taking lots and lots of pictures and will post them soon.

We've Moved!

Hello All! We've moved! Don't worry, not out of state or anywhere far away. We're still in Bountiful. My last post was about my mom moving...well, we moved into the condo she just moved out of. It is so nice! Every night when Landon comes home from work he tells me, "we're so spoiled". We have 3 bdrms. 2.5 baths and a garbage disposal and dishwasher! In the basement there's a big screen they left because it's too big to move out....SWEET! I think I'm the most excited about the dishwasher, and Landon is of course excited about the big screen. So once we're all unpacked and settled we'll have to throw a open house. I'll post pictures of our old place and our new one as soon as I can.

4th of July

We had a great time together as a family this 4th of July. It was Brighton's first. The night before we went with some friends from our ward up to Eagleridge Golf Course to watch fireworks. We had a lot of fun. (we were horrible and didn't take many pictures but i will post the ones we did)
We sat really close to where the sky divers landed and Brighton didn't seem to notice. She just had a fun time playing on the grass. When it was time for the fireworks she slept soundly, strange enough.

On the 4th we helped my mom and her new husband (of 1 year) move. We were going to take a break and go watch the parade, but that never happened. I ended up being the babysitter while others moved all the furniture...hey i didn't mind! Brighton and her cousin Maci had a fun time playing together.

If you were to ask Brighton (and she could talk) what her favorite part of the day was she would probably say, playing in one of the 5 big red plastic buckets they were using to move things.

first time in the pool

Saturday Landon and I were overwhelmed with the heat and decided to go to my mom's and try her kiddie pool out. This was brighton's first time "swimming" and she hated it. she cried when Landon first put her in, and then somehow we got her to calm down for just a minute before the tears started up again(hopefully her next pool experience she'll enjoy more). My mom brought Landon and I some licorice and gatorades. When I stuck a piece of licorice in my mouth brighton reached over and yanked it out before I had time to react and stuck it in her mouth. As hard as we tried she would not give that licorice up! So this was her first time eating candy....I wanted to wait until she was 1 to give her any kind of sugar, we made it to 10 1/2 months! Hopefully with our other kids I'll be better. Boy did she get messy! Oh and she HATES the grass...she tries to keep as many limbs off as possible.

Last week Brighton had some time to play with her best buddy Ellie. They had so much fun together, Brighton rarely gets to play with other kids around her age and when she does get the opportunity she loves it. Here's some cute pics from their little play date.

sweaty sleeper

It has been so incredibly hot just these last couple weeks we've finally started using our little window air conditioning unit. Unfortunately it doesn't get our entire house cool. We put a ceiling fan in our bedroom a couple summers ago and we have been using a standing fan for brighton's room. Just last week when I went in to get brighton after her afternoon nap I found her practically dripping with sweat. Although it was kind of sad thinking she was hot while sleeping she looked so cute, and she was very camera happy for some reason.
